Avoid Holiday Hoaxes!

The shopping season is in full swing and your credit union has all the services available to help make your Christmas merry and bright.  Credit cards and debit cards are the preferred method of payment by members and vendors for convenience and efficiency, but regular attention to your account with online banking is your best defense against fraud.

As a reminder:

  • Do not click on links in text messages or e-mails
  • Do not call an unknown phone number in a message
  • Never share your account or debit card number
  • Never share your PIN number
  • Never share your online banking credentials

Be aware that there are cybercriminals that may attempt to defraud you.  If you are uncertain about an email, text or message you can call Old Ocean Federal Credit Union at 979-316-4833 to have one of our friendly staff assist you.
